That’s so lovely, thankyou! There’s something about this kind of scene that always draws me in, and perhaps communicates something that I can’t express in any other way..or even that I didn’t know was in me until I look back at the image..maybe..it does usually feel like a leap from the heart in any case..
These images instantly open my heart and gently touch. The contrast between the wispy, cottony sky and the the rocks and dry grasses, makes for a lovely sensory experience. The strong horizontal brings both together as in a tender caress. Beautiful.
Rules broken, check! Feels good, check! Very nice captures, check!
Ha! Thanks! 🙂
Always best to surrender and go with the feelings. Dartmoor does that doesn’t it! Beautiful shots Cath!
It certainly helps, Patti! Thanks!
Rules, pah! Great shots, Cath.

Yes, forget about the “shoulds”
Yes, I don’t know why I put that really, hardly revolutionary shots! 🙂 Good advice in general too Carla, thanks! 🙂
Open and expansive – how it felt and feels.
It is a relief to feel it! Thanks!
Your landscapes always move me Cath! I’m sure it has something to do with the rules you break (and a lot to do with your heart.) xo

Elena, this is a really touching response, thankyou so much..
I love the wide open rolling landscapes you live in, Cath. Somehow they are intimate and infinite at the same time.
