There is so much I have left out of this little series and our lovely time here – time, equipment and other factors mean that what I can capture at this stage cannot possibly completely convey the beauty and breadth of this part of Cornwall, and my deep love for it. Some of these are just snapshots really, and a sketch book of ideas I’d like to continue at a later date..there is a wealth of inspiration here. But I hope I have managed to put across some of the essence of the landscape and how I feel about this beautiful place.
I have been visiting Cornwall since I was about 10 years old, but being there with a camera in hand and a photograph in mind was a totally different experience. What I find so fantastic about photography is how it makes you look at every tiny part of everything. It takes you out of yourself and into the details of life around you. I saw everything even more closely – its light, its Atlantic weather, strength, richness, fragility, wild space…too much to mention. I am even more in love now and plan to go back as as soon as I can..

Gorgeous photos…what a nice little adventure. 🙂
Thanks – it really was!
A gorgeous visual feast of shifting light. Intimate and wide open spaces, beautiful.
Thanks so much Karen, that is really how it felt, I’m glad something came over!
A very beautiful place. On my list of places I want to see someday.
Oh it really is – some parts are changed over the years but you can still find wonderful wild, rich spaces – as a painter I think you’d be very excited by the light here, it really is of its own..
Wonderful shots – it’s a beautiful part of the country, well captured.
Thanks Richard – I’d like to go back sometime soon by myself just to take photographs I think..
Lovely!
Thanks, Emily..
Such a lovely series of shots! 🙂
Thanks C.B., I’m glad you think so!
don’t you just want to keep all that wildness to yourself!
Oh yes, I know what you mean! It really makes me want to protect it somehow..
Cornish beaches and cornish sunsets have their own charisma. I might just take a day and rush down sometime 🙂
It sure is a beautiful world down there.
Your trip sounds wonderful, and you have some very fine pictures here. It is a pleasure getting to know you.
Thanks so much Shimon, for all your lovely comments, very much appreciated! I was very moved by your blog.
