The framed rectangles work better for me, bar the middle one. I wish the boat was not that close to the edge, but rather like in the free rectangle one.
Beautiful and moody photos!
Hi Cath – Nice to meet you and thanks for visiting Capri on my blog! Great photographs and I have to say that I prefer the free rectangles. It’s a problem I have come across with my photographs and prep for printing and framing. There are just so many possibilities! For my sanity, I decided to produce A3 print size files which means cropping each photograph straight from the camera. Ah, the problems we have to deal with for our art! Ha! Ha!
Oh yes, the terrible troubles we suffer! haha..all the different possibilities and creative decisions do drive me a bit mad – as I get more experienced maybe it will get easier..?! Thanks for stopping by, and nice to meet you too! ๐
I especially like your “river insta black,” and for me it works best in the rectangular format (but I’d like it better, I think, without the black borders at the top and bottom).
They are beautiful Cath!
I love the framed squares, it’s a very striking and original presentation. Either way, gorgeous!
Thanks Karen! I am leaning towards the squares I think…
Superb shots, full of atmosphere and mood. I prefer the free rectangles.
Hi Mike – thanks!

Hmm yes I see what you mean – in the squares, the middle one seems very crushed to the right..thanks for your thoughts! ๐
Stunning shots! ๐
If my opinion counts at all, the rectangle versions really stand out. ๐
Thanks C. – and of course, your opinion is always very much appreciated!! ๐
Great photographs however you present them, but I prefer the free rectangles – more room to breathe.
That’s interesting, I thought that too..still a bit undecided..!
Awesome stuff. Very interesting shots.
Thanks, glad you liked them! ๐
Utterly captivating images.
Thanks for all the great comments Lemony, glad you liked them! ๐
Todas ellas muy buenas, aunque me encanta la de los dos hombres entre los juncos, a mi me gustan mรกs sin marco, saludos

River Walkers (framed square): wonderful piece.
